Creating your Own unique Wedding or party favors is an inexpensive way of saying thank you to your guests. There are Some great free templates on internet to help get you started.

Envelope favors

A very very cheap way of making favours for your guest all you need is some scrapbook paper for the envelopes and small sweets to fill them.

Favour (Favor) Boxes

If you would like to make any of the favor boxes on my blog just do what i did,  go onto the internet and print a free favour box template with instructions and transfer the template onto any scrapbook paper of your choose or go to Youtube and follow a tutorial.
These boxes are so versatile you could adjust the size to fit any gift you would like to give.

Mini Note Pads

Once you have all your blank pages choose a slightly stronger patterned paper for the front and back covers then stack them together and apply a generous  layer of glue along the top end of the stack of paper and wait to dry.

Mini Easels

The mini easels could also be used to display photos or a special card you have recived.

Gift Tags

Homemade gift tags look great When tied around the neck of a bottle of wine you want to Give as a gift.
You can also make a bouquet of flowers more personel with a homemade gift tag.
Collect all your old greeting cards and make great gift tags with them.

Decorating Chocolate

Once you have melted the chocolate and moulded it to the shape you like just add your choice of crumb toppings.
I like to use fresh grated fruit peel but you must grate it very fine as you will not want big pieces of fruit peel in your mouth.
Biscuits crumbs on top of the melted chocolate taste great too.

Paper flowers

I like to make paper flowers using all sorts of diffrent coloured paper or wraping paper, I have a large glass bowl in which I put all my finished homemade flowers so that when I want one  for a gift wraping or crafting project I just have to choose one.
I like to sit and make the flowers when I have nothing to do or havent found a crafting project I want to start, if you want to try and make a few paper flowers go to youtube there are some great tutorials on how to make flowers out of paper or book pages,  this is a craft you can do on a budget without having to buy materials just a piece of paper a spot of glue and you have a beautifull homemade crafted flower.

Paper heart flowers

These flowers are made out of paper hearts using a heart shaped craft punch if you do not have a punch you could use a template this will just take a little longer, you could use card or old greeting cards for this project.

Canvas wall art tips

Find a cheap canvas and paint the sides of the canvas to complement your chosen  paper.
Ask friends and family if you can have their left over wallpaper for crafting.
You could always look online for free scrapbook downloads that you can print to glue onto canvases.
There are a few free printables on my complete Profile page.
You could use one decorative cussion cover as fabric to cover a canvas.

Tips for making Elegant paper flowers

These flowers can be made with crafting paper (Tissue paper or crepe paper) but this is a little more expensive.
Using two diffrent sorts of paper or two diffrent colours will give the flower a nice effect.
The  flower in the photo above is made from black and white tissue paper the flower in the photo below is made from cream coloured wrapping paper with 3 layers of black tissue paper for the center.

Elegantly wrapped gifts

Use your homemade paper flowers to make your wrapping as special as the gift itself.
I made some paper flowers using printing paper and then sprayed them with silver paint.

Decorating wine bottles

Ask friends and neighbours to save there empty wine bottles for you
Use acrylic paint in a colour that complements your interior, I found sponge painting  added texture and gave a good coverage.
Place elastic bands or masking tape around the bottles before you paint  to create a diffrent effect.
You could make a set of three bottles and display them on a decorative tray, this would make a great homemade gift for friends or family members.
